WELCOME to The University of San Agustin Class 77 web site. On this site, you will find information regarding the activities, reunions, history and contact details of the graduates of the University of San Agustin High School Class 1977. This site is also an online meeting point of all graduates of that Class.

If you are a graduate or, in one way or another related to a graduate of this Class, then this site may be of interest to you. Especially, if you are a son or daughter of a Class 77 member and your parents are not too interested in matters about the “internet”, then you are encouraged to assist your parents (without being annoying, of course).

This web site was originally conceived as a site where our High School Class 77 is to publish the events, with all the photos, taken during the USA Centennial Homecoming Celebration held in July 2004.

It all started with some 40 plus members of the Class 77 having a reunion party on July 16, 2004 at the Barbeque Park Restaurant in Iloilo, coinciding with the Centennial Homecoming celebrations. On that day, it was decided (among other things) that the Class is to have a “presence” in on the Internet and to publish a Class Directory, - a registry of the current contact information of all our classmates. Also, decided on that day was the election of a Class Coordinator - we elected Annie Salas-Hermosisima to that position, and; to this day, she is religiously performing her responsibilities without mental reservation or purpose of evasion.

And so it came, that this author volunteered to be the webmaster whose job it is, to build and maintain this web site, and Annie to be the coordinator in Iloilo.

The next reunion of our Class will be on July 20 & 21, 2007, which will be the 30th Anniversary of our high school graduation.

Here's the latest update for the 30th Class Reunion during our meeting last Feb. 3,2007:

July 20, 2007 - Friday

3:00pm - Home for the Aged , Asilo de Molo

5:00pm - Mass (tentative)

6:00pm - Acquaintance/Get together party

Grand Dame Hotel, Lapaz Iloilo City (Dinner buffet)

9:00pm - After Dinner affair - Boardwalk, Diversion Road (for those who are interested

to extend the night for coffee/beer drinking - personal expense)

July 21,2007 - Saturday

6:00pm - Proposed business meeting

Isabelita Hall (Jaro Cathedral Compound)

7:00pm - Dinner - with program (section & class presentations, dance to follow)

theme "RETRO NIGHT"

The above mentioned hall is open for rent to private parties with a minimum charge

of P4500.00 for the first 3 hours and 500/hour thereafter. Beverly has talked to a

caterer friend who is willing to charge P250.00/head dinner buffet for a

minimum of 100 persons.

But as of now everything is still tentative. We are trying to canvass other

hotels like Amigo Plaza, Days Hotel for their rates. The Sunset Terrace at

Hotel de Rio can only be available if we reach 180-200 persons and the dinner

buffet price is P400/head.

NOTE: Assessment has been reduced to P1,000.00 to include the actual cost of t-shirt

and printing.snacks/offering for the aged, meals/drinks for 2 days.Presence of

teachers in the Retro Night is pending due to the availability of funds. A pre

registration and partial payment is required to ensure attendance.for the finality

of the bookings. Deadline of full payment is May 31,2007.

I would like to appeal again to you dear classmates (ioverseas), if you could make a pledge or send your contribution
to us to make this affair a successful and fruitful one. We cannot make it without your heartfelt support. Our class savings account
is maintained at the Phil. Bank of Communications Iloilo Branch Account # 293-20-001387-2 in the name of Ana Maria Hermosisima,
Nerissa (Tuble) Tan, Beverly Rosales and Jonathan Patrick Yee.

Frankly, my postion as coordinator is really a headache. Yet I'm doing this for the class because I'm very thankful to the Lord for the
oppurtunity He has given me to be in touch with all of you after more than 27 years. And as we celebrate our 30th year I'm even
more grateful because I believe we are lucky to reach this stage of our lives and carreers. 30 years is 30 years, imagine? Parang kailan lang.

As I reiterate, the class needs your support. Share whatever you can and we welcome it.
